Scott Salmans – President
(2015 – 2018)
Scott is a graduate of Baylor University with a BBA in Marketing and achieved an MBA from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. He is the Chief Executive Officer of WRS Group, and Health Edco. located in Waco. Scott serves on many boards throughout the community, including but not limited to the Waco Industrial Foundation Board, Chamber of Commerce Advisory Board, Waco Business League, and the Texas First Bank Board. He is married to Susannah, and together they have 6 children and attend First Baptist Church of Woodway, where he is active in the music ministry. Scott was instrumental in chairing the Care Net Guesthouse Capital Campaign committee and his leadership in planned giving to grow the ministry is welcomed.
Brian Webb – Treasurer
(2016 – 2019)
Brian is Vice President and Chief Investment Officer at Baylor University. He has a BBA and MBA in Finance and Economics from Baylor, and a Ph.D in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before returning to his alma mater in 2010, Brian served as Managing Director in the Global Asset Management area of UBS. He has served on various national and local boards over the years, and was drawn to the compassionate and practical ministry that Care Net provides to women at a critical point in their lives. His wife Margaret is a volunteer counselor at Care Net, and they are blessed with three children and four grandchildren that all live in the Dallas area.
Lori Davidson – Secretary
(2015 – 2018)
Lori Davidson relocated to Waco, Texas from Illinois in 2008 with her husband and two children and is proud to call Texas home. She began volunteering at Care Net in 2009, serving as Client Advocate to the Spanish-speaking community. Lori holds a Master’s degree in Education and teaches Spanish at Live Oak Classical School. She stays busy with family and church, First Woodway, and also enjoys running her small B&B and antiques business. Lori is passionate about equipping women to make positive life choices, wholly believes in Care Net’s mission, and is excited to see what the Lord has planned for Waco’s babies and moms.
Board Member (2014 – 2017)
John is a lifetime resident of Waco, and an active member of the Knights of Columbus. John, his wife Loretta and their children are long-time members of St. Jerome Catholic Church. John spent many years volunteering in the Care Net Center’s with projects and maintenance, and has played a key role in planning and executing the Human Race Waco. We are encouraged by his compassion and willingness to serve in any capacity.
Board Member (2014 – 2017)
Grant graduated from Texas A & M University with a Bachelor of Environmental Design, and is an architect and co-owner of RBDR, PLLC Architects in Waco. He is married to Theresa, and they have grown children. Grant is on many boards in the community, including the Art Center and Habitat for Humanity. We welcome Grant’s passion, creativity and empathy for families living in crisis and appreciate his desire to make a difference in the lives of the clients and babies we serve.

Lela graduated from Indiana University with a BS in Education and spent the first years of her career teaching preschool and early elementary children from low-income backgrounds. After raising 3 girls she went back to teaching in a contained classroom as well as tutoring upper elementary and middle school children in math, science and computer applications. She and her husband, Greg, moved to Waco in 2005 when he began his job for Baylor in the Business school. Lela first became aware of Care Net in 2008 when her daughter was pregnant while a senior at Baylor. As a result of her positive interaction with the staff at Care Net and their excellent care of women and their families experiencing an unplanned pregnancy, Lela became involved as a volunteer. Lela and Greg attend Highland Baptist Church and are passionate about helping young people in the Baylor/Waco Community get connected to all the resources available for their body, soul and spiritual development. As a result of this desire to connect young people she is also currently serving as Treasurer on the board for R-Labs of Waco.

Being moved by the ministry of Care Net, Audrey began volunteering at the organization in various ways from hosting baby showers to decorating the facility. Audrey obtained her BBA in Management from Baylor University. She has a strong background in team leadership and operations management through years of experience in the banking industry. Audrey is married to Cameron Andrews and is a mother of three children. All of which she considers beautiful gifts from the Lord. She enjoys spending quality time with her family, reading, and decorating. She is active in her church and is committed to serving and investing in the people and programs of her local community.

Joel began volunteering with Care Net several years ago by changing light bulbs. After having children of his own, he realized how important it is to have a strong support system. His calling to serve on the board grew out of a desire to let Care Net’s clients know how important they are. He is excited to be in a role that helps provide this support system to more families in the community.

Crawford Allison, MD, Family Medicine
Care Net Medical Services Center, Medical Director
Dr. Allison has been a licensed physician in the State of Texas since 1977, is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine, and is the Lead Physician at the MacArthur Family Health Center in Waco. He has held the responsibility of Chief of the Family Practice Department at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center, 1999-2001, Rural Health Coordinator for Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center, and is currently a member of the Policy Board and Hillcrest Family Health Centers Board of Directors. While assuming these responsibilities, Dr. Allison is also the Clinical Assistant Professor School of Allied Health Sciences at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and has presented over 400 educational program presentations during his tenure, with a focus on local, regional and national issues. He is a participant in the Texas Academy of Family Physicians Research, and the current Chair on the Commission on Membership and Member Services for the Texas Association of Family Practitioners. Dr. Allison is currently the Research Coordinator for Hillcrest Family Health Centers in Waco.
Dr. Allison served as a Major in the U.S. Army Medical Corps, serving as staff officer and instructor in the Madigan Army Medical Center Family Practice Program, Fort Lewis, Washington. Honorably discharged in June, 1980 to return to his home state of Texas to begin private practice of Family Medicine in a small group practice of Family Medicine in a rural town of 6000 people. He was the President of Medical Staff, Quality Assurance Committee Director, City Health Officer for the City of Mexia, TX, Medical Director for two nursing homes, and Medical Arts Clinic of Corsicana Board of Directors. He has celebrated marriage to Kathy Lynn Watson Allison for 38 years, and their children are Amy Allison Kaszak, Beth Allison Barr,Ph.D, Jennifer Allison Sternberg, and Michael Crawford Allison. He is an Elder at Fellowship Bible Church of Waco.
Russell McClellan, MD, Diagnostic Radiology
Care Net Medical Services Center, Radiologist
Dr. McClellan graduated Cum Laude from Texas A & M University with a Bachelor in Science, and The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, completed his Residency in General Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston; a additional in Diagnostic Radiology at Louisiana State University Medical Center at Shreveport; and a Fellowship in Neuroradiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has been a licensed physician in the state of Texas since 1985, and is certified through the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology and Neuroradiology. He currently serves on the Radiation Safety Committee at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center, and is a Board Member on the McLennan County Medical Education Foundation. Dr. McClellan is a Diagnostic Radiologist at Radiology Associates of Central Texas, in Waco, TX. He is married to Marie Whitehead McClellan and together they have one son, Matthew.
