A chemical abortion works through a 2-Step process:

**Step 1:** Ingest a single Mifepristone pill, which blocks progesterone from reaching the uterus.

**Step 2:** Ingest two Misoprostol pills, which cause the uterus to expel the baby from your body. 

**If you have only completed Step 1 of your chemical abortion**, you can possibly reverse the effects of the threatened abortion by acting fast.1
